What is BIOD?
BIOD is an umbrella name for BioDesign and BioArt projects, that are guided by curator Yev Kravt. Since 2017, Yev Kravt collaborates with BioDesign makers, land and bio artists, local farmers, and ecology producers who are working together to create solutions to environmental challenges. In 2024 a biodesign and art residency in Cyprus is launched.
Previously in Larnaca (Cyprus), we established a BioDesign Festival with a mycelium pavilion, an exhibition on BioDesign called BioSculpt and many engaging workshops for the European Capital of Culture 2030.
ABOUT OUR LATEST PROJECT:
LARNACA BIODESIGN FESTIVAL 2023 CY
The Larnaca BioDesign Festival was a 10-day experience commissioned by Larnaca European Capital of Culture 2030, the that explored the intersection of design, science, and nature. This was curated by Yev Kravt, It was more than just a festival, it was a celebration of innovation, with the aim is to engage, educate, and inspire, bringing together a diverse community of visionaries, creators, and eco-enthusiasts.

The festival showcased the potential of BioDesign through exhibitions, hands-on workshops, and a lecture by professor William Myers. With the festival we delved into the pressing environmental challenges of our time and the pioneering solutions being developed through BioDesign.
